EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERES
Mixtures of flammable substances with air in the form of: gas, vapour, mist, dust or fibres, in which, after ignition, combustion spreads through the mixture.
The potential for damage due to the uncontrolled propagation of an unwanted ignition requires our attention to be focused on eliminating the factors that determine combustion.
We have known for a long time that for combustion, we need three basic elements: the fuel, the oxidizer and the source of ignition, which constitute the famous fire triangle.
